Buck Davidson

MD Barnmaster partners with top US 3-Day Event rider Buck Davidson through 2018.

About Buck Davidson

Buck Davidson has dominated the United States Eventing Association® leaderboard the last few years, earning the top rider honor four out of five times, including 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Each year he competes between 30 to 50 different horses in the USA, and is currently ranked as 30th in the FEI World Eventing Rankings.

Buck has ridden many horses in his life, but among all those, one horse stands out, Buck’s longtime partner, Ballynoe Castle RM, or Reggie, owned by Cassandra and Carl Segal. Buck and Reggie rode into the history books in 2014. Reggie recently retired but still remains the USEA’s highest scoring horse of all time.

Buck rode for the USA at the 2010 Lexington, the 2014 Normandy World Equestrian Games, and the 2011 Guadalajara Pan American Games. In 2013, he won the Pinnacle Trophy for Highest Placed US Rider at Rolex KY CCI**** on Reggie, and in 2009 riding My Boy Bobby.

Buck seems to have another big year ahead of him in 2017. He plans to compete some of his three and four-star horses overseas. While in the USA, he will compete over 40 horses throughout the year all over the country, at different levels, as he brings up a continuous string of talented mounts.

Buck lives in Florida for the winter months and spends his summer months in Pennsylvania. He is currently underway with his plans to expand Chesterland, the legendary summer base of his father, Bruce Davidson. with his own purchase of an adjacent 60 acres. He is married to Andrea Leatherman-Davidson and they have a baby daughter, Aubrey Brook who was born in March 2016.
